This weeks A1M records new music show features the nest in new music- this Thursday 15th April 8pm on www.indierocks.co.uk - the show features the stunning new remix of the Shed Project Track - One Shot by legendary Manchester artist MC-TUNES - (Who played a significant role in the Madchester-music scene during the 1980s and 1990s. In his early career Tunes took niche music genres into the UK Singles Chart, whilst fronting 808 State, and later achieved cult status with the band Dust Junkys.
The Show also features the brand new single from Austin TX Rockers The Metal Byrds - Spitfire Pete - The title, SPITFIRE PETE, is actually taken from a little boy who lives in Spalding in Lincolnshire, England. He is a very special little boy, who is not only autistic, but who more importantly loves Rock Music. Over the course of the last year, Pete has endured many hardships, but manages to stay positive, mainly through his love of music. This boy has a special place in our hearts, and since we met him, we were inspired to write a song about him, and dedicate it to him. With a name like Spitfire Pete, it was only naturally that we write a song about the WW2 plane, the Supermarine Spitfires, made in Lincolnshire, that won the war for England. So that is what this song is about. The plane, and a fictional man behind the controls of that plane, called SPITFIRE PETE.
