Single of The Week - Foxglove - Birthday

“Pure pop excellence, volume up, windows down, a tune to blast out all summer long”.

Foxglove – BirthdayA1M records single of the week. Pure pop excellence, a meld of upbeat rolling drums, driving melody, and luscious vocals that collide perfectly to deliver an anthemic, ear worm of a chorus. This Mancunian fourpiece are a new to us, but this tune hits the right spot. A clever mix of high energy upbeat vibes, that leaves you breathless, yet perfectly mirrored with chill out moments in a song that has all the ingredients of a huge summer hit. A perfect tonic to the malaise and melancholy we have endured this last 16 month. Simple uncomplicated music that puts a smile on your face and gets you moving. Foxglove proving that pop music can still be energetic, fun and above all be enjoyed for just what it is, escapism, entertainment, and a vehicle to transport us to better times. Play this loud, in your car, on the bus, train or gym, on the beach, anywhere, just enjoy. Expect to hear this all over the radio this summer.

About Foxglove -

A Manchester four-piece proving that pop music still has many weird and wonderful places left to go. Formed around two years ago – the band includes Ryan Croney, Liam Croney and Joe Myers and vocalist Abi White. - Foxglove have only really begun to hit their stride recently with plays on BBC Introducing and emerge as serious Manc music contenders.

And rightly so. Joining the dots between Tame Impala, HAIM and The Cure, these Manc music upstarts produce pop songs which cram an impossible amount of depth and texture into their four-minutes - from the waves of shoegazey, ambient guitar to the funk-infused basslines to the deep pathos of Abi White’s stunning vocals. Just a quick one,
