These Bolton lads are selling out gigs across the north west of England, they don’t fit the stereotypical indie guitar band, they are working class lads who write music in a shed, from an unfashionable northern mill town. The shed project have no pretence, no manufactured posed image, and they continue to confound the hipster indie media with a passionate simple take on music and life.
Opening with a swirling Hammond like organ, evoking child hood memories, a vocal, from the heart, bare, stripped back, pumped with pride and nostalgia for better days. “I am going to do it on my own, I would not have it any other way”. This typifies the spirit and charm of the Shed project, never perfect, often rough around the edges, but always honest, direct, and passionate.
